Survivor Stories: Finding Hope and Healing

Every life lost to fentanyl is more than a statistic — it’s a person, a family, and a story that matters. At Forever Our Angels Fentanyl Awareness, we share these stories to honor our loved ones, raise awareness, and remind others that healing is possible.

💙 Isiah’s Story

Born July 14, 1999, Isiah Smith was full of light, love, and laughter. He had a bright future ahead, but at just 24 years old, his life was tragically cut short due to fentanyl poisoning on November 4, 2023. Isiah’s story is the reason Forever Our Angels was founded — to make sure his life and others like his are never forgotten.

💙 A Mother’s Voice

"Losing my son to fentanyl was something I never imagined would happen. One person stole my joy by poisoning my only child and it changed everything. I share my story because I don’t want any other parent to get the phone call I did. If telling my pain can save even one life, then his death will not be in vain."
Keshiah Wyatt Smith, Mother of Isiah

💙 A Cousin’s Reflection

"Isiah wasn’t just my cousin, he was my brother, my best friend. Fentanyl doesn’t just take one life — it takes a piece of everyone who loves them. By being part of Forever Our Angels, I’ve found strength in sharing his story and fighting for change."
Rayla Washington, Cousin of Isiah

💙 Community Voices

We also invite other families, survivors, and advocates to share their experiences. Every testimony helps shine light on the fentanyl crisis and gives hope to those who are grieving.
